BACANI Creative is a home for my creative work and curiosity. A place to create art, document moments, tell stories, and explore the interests that continue to shape me.

Photography. Video. Music. Writing. Cooking. Plant Care. I’ve always been interested in a lot of things. For years, I wondered whether following so many different interests meant I lacked focus.

 

There’s a scene from Insecure that I’ve thought about often. Issa worries that she’s “all over the place” and remembers being told that she had her hand in too many pots. Her mom explains that she never meant it as criticism — she admired how many things Issa was interested in and was actually good at. That stuck with me.

Over time, I’ve learned to see it differently. Not as a lack of direction, but as part of who I am. Someone who loves to learn, make things, and follow an idea wherever it goes.

Not too many pots. Just the right ingredients.

​BACANI Creative is where those different parts of my creativity get to live together. What that looks like will probably continue to change over time — and I think that’s part of the point.
